The ExamWriting
palette and Exam stylesheet
work together to simplify the process of writing exams.
Autonumbered problems and subproblems are supported,
vertical spacing cells are included, and buttons for
working with page breaks are a few of the features. The
palette contains buttons to create rectangular grid and
polar grid graph paper of any size that can be copied
and pasted into an exam. The palette contains a Sample
button that will create an exam notebook with comments
that demonstrates a wide variety of question formats.
Both the ExamWriting and
Exam stylesheet need to be installed in
Mathematica to work as designed. After the two files have
been downloaded start Mathematica 6 and use the
File->Install menu item to install both files -
you will need to know where the files where saved by your
web browser when they were downloaded. The palette should
be named ExamWriting and the stylesheet must be named Exam. After the
files have been installed, the ExamWriting
palette can be opened directly from Mathematica's Palette
menu. The downloaded copies of both the
ExamWriting.nb and
Exam.nb notebooks should be deleted after
they have been installed into Mathematica.
